Privacy Policy

Who we are
OffDay is a holiday-planning website at https://offday.app and a mobile app for Android and iOS. This policy explains what information the website and the app handle. Questions go to [email protected].
Information that stays on your device
The app does not ask you to create an account. It stores your language, theme, country, work days, custom dates, search history, and saved plans on the device. You can clear the search history from the app settings. Uninstalling the app removes what is stored on that device.
Information sent to OffDay
To load public holidays and vacation suggestions, the app calls https://api.offday.app. A request can include a random installation identifier created on the device, plus the country, dates, and choices needed to calculate a plan. That identifier is not your name, email address, or phone number.
The servers may keep ordinary technical logs, such as IP address, date, and the request itself, so the service can run and be protected from abuse.
Google Analytics on the website
The website can use Google Analytics to see which pages and languages are useful. Before that measurement starts, the site asks you to allow or refuse it. If you refuse, the Google Analytics script is not loaded.
If you allow it, Google Analytics sets a cookie such as _ga and collects the page address, how you reached the page, browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this to understand the website. We do not sell this information, and the website does not use it to show you advertisements.
You can change your choice later from this privacy policy page, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser. Google describes its own processing at https://policies.google.com/privacy. A browser opt-out is available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
If no measurement ID is configured for the site, Google Analytics does not run.
Advertising in the app
The app may ask you to watch a short rewarded video from Google AdMob before showing an extra result. Google can process device and advertising identifiers for that advertisement under its own policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. The website does not show advertisements.
What we do not ask for
OffDay does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or precise GPS location in order to plan a break.
How long information is kept
Information on your device stays until you clear it or remove the app. Server logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the service. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics.
Children
OffDay is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
